Tips for safely grilling meat and preventing food borne illness
This week’s warm weather means many of us are grilling out, and it’s important to do it safely.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 48 million people in the United States get sick from foodborne illnesses each year. To help reduce foodborne bacteria from growing, cook meats to a proper internal temperature, keep cool foods cool and place leftovers in the fridge or freezer within two hours of cooking.
